Message from the Principal
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN SALE
Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
This week we were saddened to hear of the death of a respected colleague and friend, Vivienne Carrington, known to our students as Mrs C.
We offer our sincere condolences to Vivienne’s boys, Harry and Charlie and to her extended family, praying they will find comfort in God during this difficult time.
We remember all that Mrs C had to share with our community, her passion for the Arts and Sustainability.
Today, we remembered Mrs C in a simple prayer service as we gathered for our first official whole school student assembly with the easing of restrictions. We appreciate the many expressions of sympathy from our own school community and messages of comfort from local schools and families. A register of prayers, sympathy and messages will be available in the school foyer for those who may wish to share a thought and recognise her marvellous work, enthusiasm and creativity. These notes will be compiled and given to Mrs C’s family as a record of memories of her time here at St Thomas’. Unfortunately, we cannot gather with our families for liturgies and assemblies, but hope this opportunity will give families a chance to remember her energy and love for St Thomas’.
