CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN SALE
Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
How wonderful it is to see our junior children back at school. We are so proud of our youngsters, particularly our Foundation and Year One students who make their way independently into the school yard and classroom. The smiles, the laughter, the play, the classroom, all blend together to create a happy and vibrant community. We look forward to all our children returning to school on June 9th. Details regarding pick up and drop off arrangements for all our students will be shared early next week as we review our current practice. We are very mindful of how busy the student and vehicle traffic can be along Guthridge Parade and Raglan St when all students from St Thomas’, Sale College and Guthridge Primary return on June 9th.
Thank you to all our parents and carers for their co-operation during this Remote Schooling period and return to school. We do remind everyone to adhere to pick up times to allow for the free flow of traffic and student movement. Social distancing remains paramount, particularly amongst adults.
We remind students to bring their own art smocks and to place them in their bags for cleaning after each lesson. Students must also bring their own water bottles each day.
We ask families who have students beginning Foundation/Prep in 2021 to contact the school for enrolment forms. We hope to gain an idea of numbers entering 2021 as soon as possible for we continue to get enquiries and applications from new families. If you do have friends or family wishing to enrol their child, please ask them to contact reception or to download new application forms from our website. They may then forward them to the front office. Thank you.
Please know that we have not as yet been informed of arrangements for secondary school enrolments for 2021.
We hope you all enjoy a lovely weekend.
Take Care and God Bless,
Anita and staff

Our neighbours, East Gippsland Art Gallery, are inviting youth to participate in a Snail Mail project. In which youth are encouraged to create a mini artwork or to write a letter, this will be sent out to someone a similar age in another area. They will also receive a letter back in response! Check it out here: https://www.
Do you like making and creating? Would you like to brighten someone else’s day?
Because you can, by sending a meaningful message to someone who has to stay home just like you.
East Gippsland Art Gallery is inviting children to participate in our fun and exciting Snail Mail Project.
You write a letter and make a small handmade gift to send to someone who lives far away and they send a letter back to you.
We know you are all creative kids but if you need an idea, start by introducing yourself and what activities you like doing.
Here’s a few handmade ideas to help you get started:
You could
-
Draw a picture of yourself, your house, your pets
-
Include your favourite recipe with a photo or drawing of the dish
-
Write a list of the things you do to cheer yourself up
-
Or list your 5 favourite songs or movies
-
Make a collage of picture cut out from old magazines
-
Create an origami animal to send
-
Make and decorate a bookmark
-
Design a card
Then pop it into an envelope.
Please note that all buses are cleaned at the end of the day or in the morning before leaving on a run, they are then cleaned immediately after last drop off and again at the end of the day. Buses with low numbers will keep some seats closed where possible. Some buses will supply hand sanitiser but not all. Students are expected to wash or sanitise their hands before getting on the bus and again when they get off the bus.
Sick students will not have access to the bus, if a child becomes ill at school please ensure a parent picks them up from school. If a student presents ill to the bus stop in the morning, the driver will contact the bus coordinator who will then contact the parents. They will NOT be granted access to the bus.
Please remind students travelling by bus of their obligations to social distance where possible and to always listen and follow the drivers instructions.
