CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN SALE
Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
Today, our children finish the school term and we wish them a well deserved break. We acknowledge the many challenges that have faced the school community throughout this term and hope there is time to relax over the holiday period. We thank you all for your co-operation.
The new term still brings some uncertainty. Unfortunately, the swimming program and the Year Six interstate camp to Canberra will be suspended until further notice. DOSCEL is currently communicating with our camp providers to determine how venues intend to meet the government requirements and regulations around COVID 19. It is hoped that by mid Term Three, we will have some answers as to whether all camps will proceed and whether it will be possible to run a swimming program for some classes later in the school year.
Reports will be going out today. As mentioned previously, Semester One Reports for 2020 will look considerably different to those received in the past. Our reporting system is restricted to six month increments. Due to the unreliability and accuracy of Term Two information, achievement levels will be based on Term One data. Therefore, you may see little growth or movement of dots in the graph representation. Teachers continue to collate work samples and testing data to provide a more accurate picture of your child’s learning. You will have an opportunity to discuss what has been identified by teachers with Parent /Teacher Interviews scheduled for Week Three of Term Three, July 28th and July 29th. It is most likely that these interviews will not take place face to face at school. Teachers will contact families in Weeks One and Two of Term Three to confirm an interview time via phone or googlemeet. Interview times will be scheduled for 10 minute intervals. Written reports at the end of the year will aim to provide an accurate measure of growth for the 2020 school year.
I wish all families a very restful break. We look forward to a positive start to Term Three.
God Bless and Take Care

If you have a child starting Foundation in 2021, please contact the school for enrolment forms. We hope to gain an idea of numbers as soon as possible as we continue to get enquiries and applications from new families.
If you do have friends or family wishing to enrol their child, please ask them to contact reception or to download new application forms from www.sttsale.catholic.edu.au. They may then email them to reception@sttsale.catholic.edu.au or drop them off at the school office.
Fee statements were emailed to families last week.
As previously advertised, if your financial circumstances have been impacted by COVID-19 please contact Anita Little or Casey Johnson at the office to discuss your options.
We have been asking all families and visitors to use hand sanitiser both before and after using vpass to sign in or out. We have found that this is causing issues with the touch screen on the ipad and ask that all people use the hand sanitiser only AFTER using the ipad.
