CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF CATHOLIC EDUCATION IN SALE
Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
This weekend, we look forward to celebrating Father’s Day. We hope that families enjoy a lovely day together and recognise that in some instances, the current restrictions may not allow all family members to be present.
Just a reminder that learning packs are available for collection today from the stadium. Stadium doors will close at 3.45pm. We remind those picking up items to wear their facemasks, sanitise and to social distance.
As yet, we are still unclear as to what Term 4 will look like for students and hope to know more next Monday morning after the Premier’s announcement scheduled for Sunday. Learning packs have been set up for the remaining two weeks of term. We remind families once again that Friday September 18th, the last day of term, will be a learning day for students and not a closure day as originally planned.
It has been great to see children enthused about the Diocesan Christmas Card Competition. Templates were included in the last set of learning packs for students. They will be scanned and forwarded to Head Office for judging.
It is always lovely to see how children are working at home and we always welcome photos and thank you for them. We congratulate everyone for their efforts to ensure children are learning at home. Again, if you miss a call from your child’s teacher, you may contact them via email to organise a convenient time to discuss your child’s learning. We also ask children to forward their completed work to teachers so that feedback can be provided and a record of progress can be maintained. Thank you.
Once again, we wish all our dads a lovely Father’s Day on Sunday.
Enjoy your weekend.
School fee statements were emailed last week.
If you have concerns about your financial situation please email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com so that we can explore confidential financial support arrangements during this time.
Refunds will be processed at the commencement of term 4 if scheduled camps/activities are unable to proceed.
In Foundation, last week our ‘Word of the Week’ was teacher. It has three digraphs and the students worked hard at learning a very challenging word. We showed some of the drawings last week and here are some more.
And she gave birth to her firstborn son
and wrapped him in bands of cloth
and laid him in a manger,
because there was no place for them in the inn.
(Luke 2: 7-8)
Entries will be due in October.
Keeping young people safe online takes a whole-of-community approach. We have a new webinar aimed at parents & carers within your community. The webinar explores popular apps like Tik Tok and Snapchat, and offers targeted advice for supporting young people to have safer, more enjoyable experiences online.

Sale Mobile Donor Centre has extended its visit.
Donating blood, just like the current COVID retrictions, relies on everyone doing their part. As different parts of the country experience lockdowns and restrictions, it’s important to remember blood donation is essential and allowed.
To support the need for more donors nationally, we have extended our visit to Sale. The Mobile Donor Centre will remain in town for the week September 8th -11th 2020.
We’ve never been more together!
Even though we’re staying apart, our donors are still pulling together to ensure we collect the 31,000 required every week to support the 1 in 3 Australians who require donated blood.
For further information and eligibility to donate visit Lifeblood.
