Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
We welcome all our children back to school and thank parents and guardians for their support during the lock-down period.
Child Safety
A reminder that parents and carers are to scan the QR codes available at all three entrances when entering school grounds and are to wear masks if entering the school building. A Visitor Declaration Form is to be completed if the QR code is not scanned.
We also ask that you remind children of “pick up” arrangements at the end of the day to ensure a positive end of the day for children.
Lent: a time of prayer, reflection, fasting and sacrifice. A time to follow Christ!
Reconciliation
This weekend, Commitment Masses will be held for children intending to receive their First Reconciliation. We pray for these children as they prepare to celebrate the sacrament of forgiveness. Children wishing to receive the sacraments are to contact Jenny Fitzgerald at St Mary’s Presbytery. Jenny is the sacramental coordinator for the Parish.
Swimming Carnival
Today, our senior school participated in the Swimming Carnival. We had a lovely day and I sincerely thank Grace Duffield and all our staff and volunteers for ensuring the day ran smoothly.
Interschool Horse Show Jumping Carnival
We congratulate Matilda March for her participation in the Interschool Horse Show Jumping Competition today.
Next week, Matilda will join her brother and sister, Jesse and Bella, Summah Coleman and Beth Kelly in the Stratford Pony Club Gymkhana. We wish them all the very best next Wednesday.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.

Swimming
What a fantastic day we had to enjoy our swimming carnival. Congratulations to all of our students for their enthusiasm, determination and the team spirit they demonstrated in and out of the pool today. Thank you to all our staff and parent helpers for your assistance to make today’s event run smoothly and safely. Your help is greatly appreciated. Well done to Theresa House for continuing it’s reign of the pool and winning the overall House Trophy.
The Sale and District Swimming carnival has been moved to the 2nd of March in light of the recent lockdown. Students competing in this event will be informed next week.

Next week we are excited to welcome the Hockey Victoria Roadshow to our school!
Students are being given the fantastic opportunity to try out the exciting game of hockey! They will learn the skills of the game through game-based activities suited to every year level and ability. Hockey Victoria will be sending their Participation Officers to our school in the coming weeks to provide an engaging, fun, and safe hockey experience for everyone.
At Hockey Victoria they pride themselves in providing an enjoyable experience for every student. If your child enjoys the sessions during school, they can continue with their hockey experience by joining a local Hookin2Hockey program www.hookin2hockey.com.au. With programs all over the state you can find a local program that will suit your schedule.
