Our school is a place of faith and learning
Good afternoon to Parents and Families!
Child Safety
We remind families to talk to their children about safety when walking or riding to school. With three schools placed beside each other, pedestrian, bike, scooter, car and bus traffic is very busy in the morning and particularly, in the afternoon.
Children are asked not to walk or ride in front of staff car park gates and to be very mindful of driveways. Students are asked to use the gates closest to where they are dropped off in the morning and to exit via the gate where parents are parked or the gate that leads them straight home.
Children travelling from the hospital end of town or Raglan St are asked to use the Raglan St gate and crossing to enter and leave the school. Those travelling from the Dawson St end, are asked to enter via the Guthridge gates and to use the crossing when necessary.
We hope to return to our normal routines soon and it will be most important to be mindful of the foot and vehicle traffic around us.
Foundation students will begin full weeks of schooling next Monday and will no longer have Wednesdays as rest days. We will continue to use all three exit gates, however, we will ask Foundation students and their siblings to leave at 3.10pm, together with country bus students. Remaining classes will leave at 3.15pm.
We will monitor the traffic and congestion at this time and encourage families to social distance. We ask families not to congregate and to move promptly to their cars.
Gates will open at 3.10pm and close at 3.30pm.
Please remind your child of end of day arrangements.

Catholic Identity Project
Today, families will receive an invitation to participate in the Enhancing Catholic Identity Survey.
Your child will bring home a brochure detailing the purpose of the survey and how you may complete it online.
A letter will be distributed to Year 5&6 parents on Monday inviting students to participate in the survey whilst at school.
Living our Faith
This week, children gathered in the stadium to receive Ashes that are usually distributed on Ash Wednesday. Fr Jithin celebrated a liturgy of the word and children reflected on how they may prepare for Easter during this season of Lent. We are reminded to pray for our families, friends and ourselves. The Lenten season is a perfect opportunity to repair our relationship with God and others and to find hope and joy in doing so.
Sport
I congratulate all the children who participated in the Stratford Pony Club Gymkhana.
A great day was had by all and I thank all those involved in providing this opportunity for our children.
Next week, we look forward to the District Swimming Carnival. We have twenty-seven children participating and we wish them the very best. Grace Duffield and Christine Nikolajew will accompany children to the carnival.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend.
