Our school is a place of faith and learning
Dear Parents and Families,
This weekend, a number of our children will be receiving their First Holy Communion.
We celebrate with them and congratulate all of them as they continue to strengthen their relationship with Christ. Our prayers and thoughts are with them this weekend.
We congratulate:
Molly Yr 4 Claire Yr 6, Erin C Yr 5 , Jack D Yr 4, Will Yr 5, Charlie Yr 6
Jude Yr5, Larissa Yr4 , Beth Yr 4, Remy Yr 6, Dakota Yr5
Angelina Yr4, Charlie Yr5 , Aishah Yr5 Daisy Yr 5
Of all seven sacraments, the Holy Eucharist, or Holy Communion, is the most central and important to Catholicism. Holy Communion is offered at every Mass, and in fact, the ritual of the Mass is largely taken up with preparing the hosts/bread and wine to become the body and blood of Christ and the congregation to receive the body of Christ. Transubstantiation is the act of changing the substances of bread and wine into the substances of the Body and Blood of Christ.
Take Care
Anita and staff.

FMP letters to the residents at Royal Freemasons
FMP have been writing letters to the residents at Royal Freemasons. The residents have been replying to the kids' letters and it has been so lovely. I was just wondering if some of these photos could be included in the school Newsletter so that parents can see? We have permission from the residents to share the photos.

The grade 2 students have been learning about how they can use their gifts and talents to help others. Archie decided he has a gift in tie dying. He used his talent and made each student in 2MB a tie dyed bag.
Congratulations Hamish Van Drunen
Congratulations to Hamish Van Drunen in 5MC who recently participated in the ‘Great Cycle Challenge’ to support the Children's Medical Research Institute.
Grade 6 Social Justice Team
Can Drive and A Better Life For Foster Kids
A reminder that this term the Grade 6s will be running two Social Justice activities. We hope that our school community will get behind us and support these two initiatives.
St Vinnies Can Drive
We are asking for donations of canned food that we will give to St Vinnies for people in need. Each class has a basket in their classrooms for donated food items. This will be running until the last week of school.
A Better Life for Foster Kids
We are also collecting donated items for ‘A Better Life for Foster Kids’. This is a Gippsland-based charity that supports children and carers in the out-of-home-care system. Some items that could be donated may include clothing, toiletries, baby supplies, activity books, blankets and toys.
The Grade 6 students will also collect these items up until the end of term.
School Photos 2021 – St. Thomas’ Catholic Primary School
Annual school photos including sibling photos have been taken at St. Thomas’ Catholic Primary School by Arthur Reed Photos on Thursday November 18th, 2021.
Unique image codes have been issued to all students on photo day so families can now register online to view images when they become available in the webshop.
Registration is simple, just follow the 3 simple steps on your child’s personalised flyer and remember to add the codes for all your children attending this school.
Even if you registered last year, it’s important that you do again this year using your child’s 2021 image code to link their images for the current year with your contact details.
When images are ready to view and in the webshop, all parents who have registered will be notified by SMS and email.
Once registered, please wait for notification that 2021 images are online to view before making your purchase.
